Agapanthus Jonie
Lighting: Full sun to partial shade. Prefers at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal flowering.
Temperature: ‘Jonie’ is generally tolerant of a wide range of temperatures but prefers mild to warm climates. It can tolerate occasional frost but may require winter protection in colder regions.
Watering: Prefers consistently moist soil during the growing season but is somewhat drought-tolerant once established. Water deeply and infrequently, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings.
Size: Like other Agapanthus varieties, ‘Joanie’ typically grows to a height of 30 to 90 centimeters with a spread of about half its height.
Flowers: Agapanthus ‘Joanie’ produces large, round clusters of trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of blue or purple. The flowers rise above the foliage on tall stalks, creating a striking display.
