Peach Tree
Prunus persica is a popular fruit tree known for its delicious and juicy peaches.
Varieties: Nova Donna, Snowhite, Summersun, Sunsweet and Western Sun
Fruit: Peach trees produce the peach fruit, which is a round or slightly flattened fruit with a fuzzy skin that can range in colour from yellow to red or even white, depending on the variety. The flesh of peaches is typically sweet and juicy, and it surrounds a large, hard pit or stone.
Light: Full sun exposure of 8 hours per day in spring and summer.
Watering: They require well-draining soil. In normal circumstances a peach tree needs water at least every three weeks, but in the heat of summer one should water once a week but avoid drowning the trees.
Height: Approximately 7.62 meters high and wide
Temperature: Peach trees thrive in regions with a cold winter (for dormancy) and a warm, dry climate for fruit production.
