Tarocco (Blood Orange)
A pigmented navel that matures at the same time as its parent, the Washington navel, although acid levels have been reported to be lower. Internal quality and external appearance are very good.
Origin
:A branch mutation discovered in a Washington navel orchard on the farm Cara Cara in the Valencia region of Venezuela during the late 1980’s.
Harvest
:Fruit maturity is from end May to early June in the East Cape citrus areas.
