Banana – Williams Hybrid
Fruit: The fruit of the banana plant is the banana itself. Bananas are elongated, curved, and usually yellow when ripe. They grow in clusters called “hands,” with each hand containing several individual bananas.
Light: Banana plants need plenty of sunlight to grow and produce fruit. They prefer full sun, which means at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight per day.
Watering: Banana plants have high water requirements. They need regular, deep watering to keep the soil consistently moist. However, they are sensitive to waterlogged soil, so ensure good drainage.
Height: Banana plants vary in size, but they can grow quite large. Some dwarf varieties may reach only 1.8 to 3 meters in height, while larger varieties can reach up to 9 meters or more.
Temperature: Banana plants thrive in tropical and subtropical climates. They require consistently warm temperatures, with a minimum of 10°C and no frost. They grow best in areas with high humidity.
