Origin: France. Imported by G.Frater of Paarl in 1926 from Argentina. Released to the industry in 1928.
Prune with spur bearers. Subject to coulure and berry splitting after rain. Not suitable for summer rainfall area. Quality of apical bunch better than first. Thrives better on medium to light soils. Problems are sometimes experienced with Ransey as rootstock. Good storage ability.
