Origin: Known in South Africa before 1926. Originated from Anatalie. In 1973 three clones of Sultana were imported from Australia. Clone H5 is the best in the industry.
Prune with long bearers (12-14 buds). Thrives best on medium to heavy soils. Good affinity with known rootstocks. Sensitive to berry split. Used as drying and table grape. Exported as table grape but must be treated with plant growth regulators and must be thinned.
