Pawpaw Tree
Fruit: The pawpaw fruit is typically green and has a custard-like texture with a sweet, tropical flavor. It is often described as a combination of banana, mango, and melon flavors.
Light: Young trees especially benefit from shady conditions, as bright, direct sunlight can scorch the leaves. Upon maturing, pawpaw trees can be grown in full sun conditions, which is often the case when planted in orchards.
Watering: Pawpaw trees need about 1″ of rain per week so keep an eye on the weather. If rainfall is inadequate, you’ll need to supplement with water from a hose.
Height: Grows to approximately 7 meters
Temperature: They are native to humid climates and are hardy to temperatures of -28%
